Pro-Russian activists attack police station in Horlivka

Chaos hits the Ukrainian city of Horlivka as pro-Russian separatists attack the police headquarters.

Even as emergency officials responded, the crowd of about 100 continued their assault.

The attack comes as Kiev threatens military action against those occupying police stations and other government buildings in the region.

Crowds chanted "get out" as they entered the building and took over.

Outside, the separatists continued their victory tour, raising the Russian flag.

As this group celebrates their new conquest, Kiev contemplates a referendum, partly addressing the demands made in Ukraine's east for more control over local affairs.
