Is Racial Profiling In Online Dating Ruining Your Ability To Score? It Just May Be.

Online dating has become so popular that sites that offer matching services are starting to analyze the interactions that take place in their midst.

Conclusions from dating site Are You Interested include:

- Caucasian women are twice as likely to respond to Caucasian men as African-American men.

- African-American men are more likely to respond to women of different races but receive three times more responses from African-American women than a non-black woman.

- Asian women are the most preferred by all men except Asian men -- who prefer Hispanic women.

This data is largely supported by what eHarmony discovered when looking at their users' preferences, and consequently posited that the majority of users are more likely to choose a partner who shares a racial background with them with the exception of African-American, Indian and Japanese men.

If accurate, would this information change the way you seek out a partner online? Have you personally noticed racial profiling when using an online dating site? Let us know.
