Kurt Cobain's death marks 20th anniversary

It's hard to believe, but April 5th will mark the 20th anniversary of the death of "Nirvana" frontman Kurt Cobain, the talented but troubled singer/songwriter.

The grunge rock hero died in Seattle at the age 27 of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head in 1994.

Cobain rose to fame as the lead singer and songwriter of Nirvana, arguably the defining band of the grunge era that dominated rock music, and much of popular culture, for several years in the 1990s.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is expected to overrun theaters as it opens in the U.S. this weekend. The Marvel superhero sequel opened at No. 1 in 30 of 32 international markets, taking in more than 75 million (USD) in its overseas box-office debut last weekend.

The film is expected to set the biggest debut so far for a film in 2014.
