There are a large variety of different wetsuits you can wear in the water, all
designed to provide varying degrees of warmth.
There are all combinations of thicknesses and lengths of wetsuit.
When surfing in extremely cold water your outfit may include a thick, full length
wetsuit, (otherwise known as a 'steamer'), booties, a hoot, and gloves.
In most waters, a steamer on its own will be enough to keep you comfortable.
In some climates, a wetly isn't even required. It all depends on the temperature of
the water and the individuals tolerance to the cold.
