Star-studded launch for Italian fashion retrospective

Some of the biggest names in fashion turned out at the V&A Museum in London on April 1st for the launch of new exhibition, "The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014", which celebrates everything about Italian style.

"Well I think the craftsmanship is what is really so attractive about Italian produced goods. There is a quality, there is still an innate sense of something you really can't put words to."

SOUNDBITE Actress Elizabeth Hurley, saying (English):

"I think they love the female body and I think they love women and they like women to look fabulous so I like it. I approve."

The exhibition shows how Italy became a major player in the fashion world after the Second World War thanks to the creator of Italian fashion shows, Giovanni Battista Giorgini.
