Ukraine: Police hunt far-right gunman who shot three people

Police in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv are hunting a gunman who shot and wounded three people.

One of the injured is said to be a senior official in the mayor’s office.

Eyewitnesses describe police surrounding a hotel in the centre, where the gunman is believed to be hiding.

The shooting happened outside a restaurant close to Independence Square, known as Maidan, which was the centre of four months of unrest Hundreds of protesters are still camped there.
