Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes Los Angeles

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake sends emergency crews on the move in Los Angeles.

The quake, which struck at 9:09 local time Friday night, centered in La Habra, where it broke water mains and prompted Disneyland to shut down rides.

There were no reports of injury or substantial structural damages.

Battalion Chief Henry Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Country Fire Department said most of the reports of damage were for cracked walls.

"Obviously the motion the earthquake caused was a lot of shifting so it created a lot of cracks, and that's most of the calls that we're seeing."

At the La Habra Screen and Shade, owner Jack Garland rushed to his store as soon as he could.
