First responders in Reading, Massachusetts deserve some serious credit for their sweet interactions with a child. Firefighters ended up singing to a scared little girl while rescue efforts were in full swing.

A fire crew was recently dispatched to a building on Main Street after an elevator, carrying a mom and her young children, got stuck. The mother, Kristin Kerr pushed the door and pressed the buttons inside the elevator but nothing happened. Her four-year-old daughter, Kaelyn Kerr was terrified.

Firefighters knew the only way to get the family out was to slide a ladder through the open top space. When they tried to slide the ladder down into the elevator, Kaelyn began panicking.

One of the firefighters spoke to Kaelyn to calm her down. When he learned she’s a fan of the Disney movie 'Frozen', his partner took out his phone and started playing her the theme song to the film.

Both men chimed in and sang the tune, which helped ease the stress of the situation. Kaelyn warmed right up to the firefighters and allowed them to slide the ladder through and help free the family.

The two firemen, Scott Myette and John Keough have their own kids at home, and they said that helped them in knowing just what to do to comfort Kaelyn.
