Replacing an internal opening 2CV hood

Replacing an internal opening 2CV hood.

Open the boot and slightly lift up the boot lid, slide it off.

Remove the screws from the rear hood support.

Undo the press studs for the hood retaining strap.

Open the internal opening system.

Un clip the front hood handle strap.

Free the hood bar from the hood.

Undo the two lateral hood clips.

Lift up the rear window and remove the upper tab from the support.

Unscrew the hood support.

Check the state of your stop blocks, if necessary, change them.

Slide off the boot lid strip

Fix the boot lid strip to the new hood.

Screw on the stop blocks.

Your hood is now ready to be mounted.

Insert the upper tab into the support, and press the lower support against the body shell.

Put the hood support screws in place, do not tighten them.

Unroll the hood towards the front of the car making sure that you press the small bar down against the bodywork.

Enter the hood ends into the hood bar and fix the hood strap to the bar with the press stud.

Pull the hood down into place.

Close the internal opening system.

Attach the two lateral hood clips.

Slide the boot lid back into place.

Adjust the boot lid to the body shell, and tighten the hood support screws into place.

Screw into place the two external press studs.

Your hood is now fitted.
