I had to chance to visit the Grand Canyon National Park last month. I chose Flagstaff as the place to over night – it has surprisingly good food I discovered.
From Flagstaff, AZ it's about 90 minutes to the Southern Rim area which gives you great viewing access to the Grand Canyon.
