Kangana Ranaut (pronounced born 23 March 1987) is an Indian actress, primarily known for her work in Hindi films. After pursuing a career in modelling and theatre, Ranaut made her feature film debut in 2006 with a critically acclaimed performance in the thriller Gangster, for which she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
