Gas leak leads to explosion in New York

3 people were killed while 17 others were injured when a gas-leak triggered explosion led to the collapse of a building in New York. Rescue operations are underway as several are still feared trapped under layers of rubble. The building collapse triggered alarm as adjoining buildings were also affected.
