Missing plane search enters fifth day

The mystery of what's happened to Malaysian Airlines missing plane deepens with every passing day.

As the hunt entered its fifth day on Wednesday there was still no hint of where flight MH370 may have gone or why.

The Boeing 777-200 vanished on Saturday with 239 passengers and crew on board representing some 14 nationalities.

John Brennan, director of the CIA in the United States, says nothing can be ruled out at this stage.

(SOUNDBITE)(English) CIA DIRECTOR JOHN BRENNAN SAYING:

"I think there is a lot of speculation right now, some claims of responsibility that have not been confirmed or corroborated at all. We're looking at it very carefully."

At Kuala Lumpur international airport from where the missing plane took off on Saturday travellers said they were thinking of the relatives of those on board.
