Israel brings suspected arms ship to dock

A ship seized by the Israeli navy on suspicion of smuggling arms from Iran to the Gaza Strip has docked in Israel.

The Panamanian-flagged “Klos C” was taken without resistance in the Red Sea on Wednesday.

Israel claims it was carrying dozens of advanced Iranian-supplied rockets made in Syria.

It is alleged they were destined for the ship’s next port in Sudan – from where they would have been trucked through Egypt to Gaza.

Iran and Gaza’s Islamist Hamas rulers have rejected the Israeli claims as fabrication.

The Israeli military says it will take two days to remove the cargo from containers and to put on public view.
