Now here's some breaking news!
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday, March 5, stayed the release of the forthcoming Hindi movie "Gulaab Gang", which is apparently based on the life of activist Sampat Pal, who formed Gulabi Gang, a group of pink sari clad women vigilantes in Uttar Pradesh.
Activist Sampat Pal had earlier filed an appeal against the makers of movie, where she demanded to sought financial compensation from them, by claiming that certain scenes in the film will affect her reputation.
Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva of Delhi High Court stayed the release of film by saying that if it is allowed to be released, it will cause irreparable damages to the reputation of Sampat Pal and "the loss of reputation cannot be compensated by monetary terms".
The film is supposed to hit screens on March 7, but seems like it won't release now! Well, let's see the fate of the movie and wait to watch who wins eventually -- Gulaab Gang or Gulabi Gang?
