Oscars style was shrunk down to size for New York photographer Tricia Messeroux's annual Toddlewood photo shoot.

Messeroux assembled ten kids to replicate looks from some of the best dressed on Oscars red carpet, with one of the highlights being best supporting actress winner Lupita Nyong'o.

The work begins as soon as the red carpet starts with Messeroux going through over 400 kids to make the perfect match.

SOUNDBITE: Tricia Messeroux, creator of Toddlewood, saying (English):

"For 24, 36 hours my team and I just do not sleep. So it's casting. It's discussing what we are going to do. It's discussing hair and make-up. It's my designer going to the fabric district and pulling out all different fabrics to make sure she gets the right one that matches. It's trying to stay within a decent budget. It's literally conversation after conversation, and then show time."
