Geetika's family opposes Gopal Kanda's bail

A day after former Haryana minister and sitting MLA Gopal Kanda was granted bail victim Geetika Sharma's family has cried foul. Geetika's family has questioned the former minister's excuse for applying bail, saying that the minister lied about his wife's illness and managed to get out simply by wielding his influence. However, Kanda's lawyer has rubbished the allegations and claimed that his client was granted bail simply on the basis of merits of the case.
