Cate Blanchett nominated for best actress for "Blue Jasmine" tells Reuters TV she "relished" her role

The 44-year old, has swept all the lead actress prizes so far this year for her role as a down-on-her-luck former socialite in Woody Allen's "Blue Jasmine." This year's nomination is Blanchett's sixth, having been previously nominated for her leading roles in 1998's "Elizabeth" and her reprisal of that role for 2007's "Elizabeth: The Golden Age," and her supporting roles in 2006's "Notes on a Scandal" and 2004's "The Aviator," for which she won the Oscar. "Blue Jasmine" marked a return to film work for Blanchett, who took several years off to focus on her family and theater work in Australia.
