Ukraine prepares for face-off with Russian in Crimea

While the waters in Crimea's Sevastopol appear calm now... that may not be the case for long.

As a Russian Navy vessel patrols the harbor, concern is growing in Ukraine.

The country's National Security Chief is speculating that its northern neighbors are responsible for seizing two airports on Friday.

(SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UKRAINIAN NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL CHIEF, ANDRIY PARUBIY, SAYING:

"We know that they're disguised military from the Russian Black Sea fleet, illegally conducting their actions on Ukrainian territory in the Republic of Crimea. And at the National Security and Defense Council, we have developed the measures to neutralize this scenario."

Crimea is home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet and a mainly Russian-speaking population.

Tensions have soared there since parliament impeached the Russian ally President Viktor Yanukovich last week.
