A grim discovery in an Italian train tunnel...
After the body of a 21-year-old American student John Durkin was found here between the Roma S. Pietro. and Trastevere stations.
The discovery made local and national news with headlines declaring "American Student Dead" and "Student run over by train..."
Friends say the last time they saw him was at this Roman nightspot "Sloppy Sams," on Thursday.
His parents flew to the Italian capital to identify his body.
Durkin, a native of New Hampshire was studying abroad with students from Bates College.
