ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: Milan Fashion Week took on a hint of opulence on Friday (February 21), as Emporio Armani offered luxurious fabrics for autumn and winter. The sun finally peeped through the clouds on Italy's fashion capital for the third day of the city's biannual women's fashion extravaganza. Giorgio Armani injected volume and a sense of humour into classic tailoring for his youth-focused Emporio Armani line. Gamine models wore wide-legged trousers that ballooned out from the waist, topped with androgynous fitted jackets. Turquoise and white broke up the dark colour palette, appearing in a flash on shoes and repeated on knitwear, a padded jacket and a shaggy fur coat. Black evening dresses twinkled with beading and trails of pearls on black velvet trousers resembled pinstripes. Accessories had a masculine flavour: necktie shapes hung over decolletage, and wide-brimmed soft hats recalled outsized bowlers.
