Milan Fashion Week kicks off with Gucci and Frankie Morello
Skin was in at Gucci's autumn-winter 2014-15 collection in Milan on Wednesday (February 19) as the iconic fashion house seemed to delve into its origins as a leather goods company.
Skinny leather trousers came in shades from powder blue to tobacco and tailored sleeveless dresses featured leather panels on the front.
Meanwhile design duo Frankie Morello gave a rebellious edge to demure silhouettes for its autumn-winter collection, cutting slits into cheerleader style pleated skirts and allowing underwear to show through loose transparent blouses for a collection inspired by Sofia Coppola's film "The Virgin Suicides".
Milan Fashion Week, which attracts some of the biggest names in the industry, runs through February 23.
