They are calling for change in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Protesters are out on the street showing no signs of stopping as they want the government to resign.

For six days now, they've been protesting against ineffective governance and widespread unemployment.

The unrest has even spread to neighboring Serbia, where citizens of Belgrade are showing support out of solidarity.

(SOUNDBITE) (Serbian) RESIDENT OF BELGRADE, BILJA SRBLJANIN, SAYING:

"I am here to express my support for the citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina who are suffering terrible humiliation. They are starving while their completely irresponsible government is doing nothing."

Just over a quarter of the workforce in Bosnia-Herzegovina is jobless.

That number hits 45 percent when including those in the informal economy.

A political analyst in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo says the country is now in uncharted waters.
