Dennis Basso is a fashion veteran, having been around for over 30 years. From modest beginnings, Basso now dresses some of the hottest celebrities in town and calls Joan Rivers one of his best friends. It is his dramatic aesthetic which has created his following which made a ticket to his fall 2014 collection, one of the hottest this season at NYFW.From fur, lace, jewels and embroidery Basso created show stopping separates, and floor length gowns. It was all over the top, and almost regal with his jewel tone palate. The hair was simple in a low bun, as was the make-up so not to distract from the intricate detailing of the clothing.The gowns voluminous and screamed award season, so it will be no surprise if one of the looks ends up on the Oscar red-carpet. Basso is a designer who has no intention of slowing down, as his shows get bigger and better every season.
