Super Bowl town fails to reap big game benefits

This is East Rutherford, New Jersey.

And even though America's biggest sporting event -- the Super Bowl -- is about to kick off, the streets are pretty quiet...

In just hours, tens of thousands of fans will be here to watch Super Bowl XLVIII (forty-eight) between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos.

But local business aren't reaping the benefits of hosting such a major event just yet.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RICHARD ITALIANO, OWNER OF NEW PARK TAVERN, SAYING:

"I've seen a lot of people come in and they have a drink or two and they hop on a train and going into New York to the (Super Bowl) Boulevard where they're having all the festive stuff. Even a lot of local people I've noticed they've been going in there just to see what it's all about. And I'm sure people that are traveling all around are going to go to that. We're probably going, I hope, to get busier tomorrow."

And the MetLife Stadium isn't proving so easy to get to.
