Oscar winner Maximiliam Schell dies aged 83

Austrian actor, Maximilian Schell, has died aged 83 at a clinic in Innsbruck after a short illness.

The winner of the 1961 Oscar for “Judgement at Nuremburg” also received two further nominations in 1976 for “The Man in the Glass Booth” and in 1978 for “Julia”.

In total he starred in over 90 films, and also produced and directed.
