Madrid, Feb 1 (EFE).- Spanish goalkeeping great Iker Casillas was clearly saddened on Saturday at the news of the death of former national soccer team coach Luis Aragones, who led his squad to victory at Euro 2008. Aragones died earlier Saturday in Madrid's Cemtro Clinic. He was 75.

"I owe a great deal to him personally. He had a big influence on me from the time I was 26," Casillas, the Spanish national team and Real Madrid captain, said.

"I want to send my condolences to his family and for them to know that Luis will always have a special place in the history of our soccer. It's a sad day for Spanish soccer."
