Diplomats hold sideline meetings at Munich Security Council summit

Sideline talks on Syria, Ukraine, and Middle East peace are likely to take center stage at the Munich Security Council meeting this weekend.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry joins Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and others during informal discussions about a disspointing first round of Syria talks that just wrapped up in Geneva.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNITED NATIONS AND ARAB LEAGUE ENVOY FOR SYRIA, LAKHDAR BRAHIMI, SAYING:
"I'm ashamed really to say that we have started a few days ago is an attempt to discuss the implementation of this text that is almost two years old. You know, we have failed somewhere. The only thing that happened, is that some aid has gone into the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk. And about prisoners, kidnapped people, disappeared people, again we haven't been able to do anything."
