A very old piece of machinery in the order of 60-90 million years of age found embedded in a lump of chalk not far from Avebury, Wiltshire, England.
This proves to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that a species of similar development and intelligence/stupidity to us lived on this planet a very long time before conventional "scientific" thought would have us believe.
They like us just used to throw their rubbish in the Ocean and has lead to the idea that it was "us". Certainly if you look at the tracks on Phobos caused by it being played with used as a racetrack and perhaps even being moved to it's current location for such a purpose it is easy to believe that "we" moved here from Mars after reducing that planet to the desert near lifeless state it is now in.
Humanity will go to great ends to play games purely for it's own entertainment unlike any other known species. Our sports/games arenas are clearly visible from space and the amount of electronic communication time and resources dedicated to such is phenomenal.
As a progression we will then move on to Venus as the Sun cools and we have used (had fun) with all the resources of this little ball ;-)
Also note that outside the orbit of Mars there is no planet but a ring of asteroids that some surmise to be the remains of an exploded planet !!
