IndependentWHO is a grassroots movement, set up by a collective of associations and individuals.
Since 26th April 2007, the anniversary of the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power station, the collective has mounted a permanent, silent vigil in front of the WHO Headquarters in Geneva. Every working day, between, 8am and 6pm, the Hippocratic Vigil is held in front of the WHO headquarters in Geneva. Our objective is for the World Health Organisation (WHO) to fulfil its duty to protect those populations affected by radioactive contamination and to demand its independence.
