War rages in Syria.

Amateur video which cannot be independently verified by Reuters shows no let up in the fight days ahead of a peace conference later this month.

Even those who have fled the violence find cold comfort in camps -- like this one in Syria near the Turkish border.

It's a place where people have lost faith in the international community ahead of the so-called "Geneva 2" peace talks later this month.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SYRIAN REFUGEE, ABU ALI, SAYING:

"We have no hopes pegged on the Geneva 2 conference. Those of us here in the camp don't count on it, our faith is solely in God and His power."

More than 100,000 people have died in the conflict that began with peaceful protests almost three years ago.

One woman who fled the violence now wishes for her own death.
