Indian rescue crews pull bodies from building collapse in Goa

Rescue workers pull bodies from the debris, after a three-story building collapsed in India's western province, Goa.

More than a dozen people were killed and several others injured after the building, which was under construction, gave way.

The reason for the collapse is not yet known.

But illegal construction is on the rise in Indian cities, which often use sub-standard materials and shoddy methods.

The incident brings to mind a building collapse last year, which killed 72 people in a city just outside of Mumbai.
