Welcome to 2014: celebrations and fireworks as world heralds arrival of New Year

Fireworks, light shows and traditional bell ringing heralded the arrival of the new year in countries all around the world at New Year’s eve. Hundreds of thousands took to the streets to take part in celebrations to usher in 2014.
