"Piano Trio" 1st and 2nd movements by Cheryl Shantz

"Piano Trio" is an original composition for Piano, Violin, and French Horn written by composer Cheryl Shantz. Altogether the "Piano Trio" has four movements and the
1st and 2nd Movements are on this video. This "Trio" was completed in 1990 while living in Newcastle, Australia and is an elaboration of Cheryl's "Piano Sonatina." Cheryl's compositions are a blend of folk and classical music, with a form incorporating the best elements of both. Cheryl believes that folk music is a gift from the past that can reveal its secrets and simple truths in these complicated and uncertain times. The first movement, "Allegro," has lively music in the spirit of a folk dance or jig. The second movement, "Andante," is suggestive of a dream-like slumber.
