Picking up the pieces in Aleppo, an almost futile gesture in this war torn city.
The city itself has taken a pounding. Amateur video which can not be independently verified by Reuters shows the relentless attacks on the city.
More than 300 people have been killed in just a week, as government forces and rebels battle control of the city.
Video obtained by reuters shows rebels bracing to fight back.
They prepare rounds of ammunition.
And they wait.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FSA FIGHTER, SAYING:
"We are here in Aleppo City. Assad aircraft is shelling civilians in Aleppo City. So, we have been stationed here since yesterday night and we wait."
Civilians have taken a beating in a war that has already claimed the lives of more than 100,000 people.
