Hyenas Attack Lion in Hwange National Park

While spending time in Zimbabwe, Paula French caught some remarkable footage showing hyaenas attacking a lioness in Hwange National Park. According to Paula, the lioness did survive the attack: “Our guide in Hwange emailed me last night to let me know that this lioness survived the attack, and has returned to her old pride. She is battered and wounded, but she is okay – they were seen with a buffalo kill.” Credit: Paula French
