Round table talks in Kyiv as daughter of Yulia Tymoschenko calls for big turn out at Sunday protest rally

The president of Ukraine has met with the opposition in round table talks. In a meeting brokered by Leonid Kravchuk, the first president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovyc agreed to three main points.
He said force would not be used in future against the protesters, there would be an amnesty for those detained and the president confirmed he would return for further talks on Tuesday.
But the dialogue has failed to stop a major protest rally on Sunday.
The daughter of Yulia Tymoshenko appealed for a big turnout. “If we are able to stay peaceful and legitimate till now it is possible to continue to do so and with bigger numbers we have more chance for a peaceful and legitimate victory,” said Yevhenia Tymoshenko.
Many have already arrived in the capital from western regions of the country to boost the thousands camping out in Independence Square.
It is reported the government has called on its supporters, who are mainly in the east of the country, to travel to Kyiv and show their backing for the ruling party which has raised fears of a stand off.
