Uruguay legalizes the sale and production of marijuana

Montevideo, Dec 11 (EFE), (Camera: Alvaro Mellizo).- Uruguay has become the first country to legalize the production and sale of marijuana. The ruling Frente Amplio used its majority in the Senate to push through the bill backed by President José Mujica, who says the measure is part of the government's fight against drug trafficking.
