Ukraine: pro-European protests continue
Ukraine’s pro-Europe movement continues on social networks with activists calling for closer relations with Europe and voicing their anger and frustrations with the Ukrainian president.
They say Viktor Yanukovych is trying to sell Ukraine to Russia. This film poster parody, which has been widely shared on Facebook, suggests he won’t be leading the country for very much longer.

The head of state has been targeted by opposition activists since the start of this pro-EU movement. A petition was started on the White House website calling on Washington to impose sanctions on the Ukrainian president and his cabinet of Ministers. The document has garnered over 135,000 signatures.
Representatives of Ukrainian civil society say he is guilty of corruption and have set up this website urging the US and the EU to investigate assets belonging to Viktor Yanukovych and his son Oleksandr, as well as freeze their bank accounts and liquidate any companies they own.
Photos show scale of North Korea’s repressive prison camps
Amnesty International has released a report with these satellite images showing the ongoing development of two of North Korea’s largest prison camps. The NGO has compared these images with older ones and it would seem new buildings have recently appeared in camps 15 and 16 which hold political prisoners.
