Georgia seeks closer ties with Europe

In recent months there has been a massive expansion in fence-building overseen by Russian military personell along the administrative boundery line between breakaway region of South Ossetia and the rest of Georgia. Georgian's suspect the move is connected to the fact that Georgia is making steps towards integration in the European Union by initialing Association Agreement with the bloc.
