Cargo ship docks with International Space Station

STORY: The Russian resupply ship, the Progress 53, docked with the International Space Station on Friday. The unmanned cargo ship was loaded with nearly three tons of food, fuel and supplies for the six Expedition 38 crew members aboard the ISS.

The Progress 53 launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Monday.

It passed within a mile (1.6km) of the ISS on Wednesday to test an upgraded automated rendezvous system before it returned for docking on November 29.
