Couple robs bank while children in getaway car

Tooele police arrested a husband and wife couple on Monday after they reportedly robbed a bank while their children were in the getaway car.

An off duty police officer was eating his lunch when he saw a blue car pull up and a woman get out. According to bank employees, the woman entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller reportedly gave the woman $956, and the woman fled back to her car. As the car pulled away from the bank, the off-duty officer followed.

The off-duty officer eventually pulled the couple over and called for backup. When officers approached the couple's car, they discovered two children, ages 5 and 2, in the back seat. A search of the car produced the robbery note, $836 in cash and clothing matching descriptions of the suspects.
