7 dead in Karachi blasts

Two blasts, following in quick succession, killed at least seven people and injured 20 in Karachi, Pakistan late on Friday (November 22), police said.

The two explosions, barely a minute apart, occurred near a tea stall in a Shi'ite dominated area near the central district of the city, 30 minutes before midnight.

Three to four kilograms of explosive material were strapped to motorcycles and detonated remotely, local authorities said.

Pakistani television station, Geo News reported its Associate Producer Salik Ali Jaffery was among the dead.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
