You may recognize her as Erica Kane, but Susan Lucci is also a television host, an author and an entrepreneur. On Tuesday the television legend was in her native New York to be inducted in ‘The Ride of Fame’ by Gray Line. Braving the cold, Lucci brought her star power to the ribbon cutting as we sat down with the star to talk about her own ride to fame. Her most significant role was that of Erica Kane on ‘all my children’ a soap opera which ran for 41 years. The role earned her an Emmy in 1999 after she was nominated 18 times. This for Lucci was a career highlight and something she describes as a moment that she will never forget. But that’s not all, Lucci has her own star on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame and TV Guide named her in the top 50 Greatest TV Stars Of All Time. It is however her work as an actress that she wants people to remember her by. Now Lucci is excited for her work on ‘Devious Maids’, a show she says that shares the same quality of writing that she had for so many years on ‘all my children’.
