Poland urged to cut coal dependency

Coal is the most polluting of all fossil fuels and currently provides 40 percent of the world’s electricity needs.

One country heavily dependent on coal is Poland, which has been hosting the UN's climate change talks this month. Burning coal generates 90 percent of the country's electricity, and the industry employs more than 100,000 workers.

It is a dependency the government is hoping to change. But as Al Jazeera's Tarek Bazley reports from Laziska Gorny in southern Poland, critics say Poland is not doing enough.
