The controversial Common Core educational program continues to upset teachers, parents, and students.
Now, it seems New Yorkers aren’t having Common Core forced on them while lying down.
During a heated forum at Ward Melville High School in Long Island, one teacher reported that Common Core is child abuse.
“There is now a Common Core syndrome. We now have children being diagnosed by psychologist with a syndrome directly related to work that they do in the classroom. If that’s not child abuse, I don’t know what is,” she says to thunderous applause from cheering parents.
“I’m here to tell you because you’ve awoken the mommies, you’re in trouble.”
