No new sanctions for Iran, Kerry urges

If the U.S. Congress imposes new sanctions against Iran, it could "break ... apart" ongoing international negotiations aimed at curbing Tehran's suspected nuclear weapons work, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Wednesday (November 13).
"Our hope is that now no new sanctions would be put in place for the simple reason that if they are, it could be viewed as bad faith by the people we are negotiating with, it could destroy the ability to get an agreement, and it could actually wind up setting us back in dialogue that's taken 30 years to be able to achieve," Kerry said.
