Bo supporters set up new political party

Bo Xilai, the former Chinese political leader who's sitting in a jail cell on corruption charges, can add one more title to his resume- new political party leader.

Last week, a group of Bo Xilai supporters announced the formation of the Zhi Xian Party-which translates as 'the constitution is the supreme authority' party. And they named Bo 'chairman for life'.

Now, in the past, activists have been jailed for setting up political parties, although the constitution doesn't explicitly allow or ban their establishment.

One of the party's founders, an associate professor at the Beijing Institute of Economics, explained to Reuters by phone why they chose Bo to lead their party.
