Gillian Anderson named Television Icon at Harper's Bazaar bash

Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards brought together the crème de la crème of the art, fashion, film and music worlds to celebrate women making waves in 2013.

The fifth annual Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday (November 5) saw a host of celebrities gather at the swanky hotel Claridge's in London to honour the achievements of women in 2013.

The award for Television Icon went to X-Files star Gillian Anderson. Naomie Harris, who stars as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in a new biopic of Nelson Mandela, won the award for British Actress. Livia Firth, who attended with actor husband Colin Firth, won the Green Award. Model and designer L'Wren Scott, accompanied by beau Mick Jagger, was named 'Tastemaker'. Victoria Beckham also won an award for Special Contribution to British Fashion, while Cate Blanchett won for International Actress.
