Hundreds attend memorial for Golden Dawn members killed in Athens

STORY: Golden Dawn party supporters gathered for a memorial outside one of the party's Athens offices on Saturday to honor the two members killed in a shooting there.

People held lit candles and placed flowers at the entrance to the building, surrounded by a police security cordon and police vehicles, and sang the national anthem.

An Orthodox priest performed a religious ceremony and joined the mourners in singing the national anthem. They then held a minute of silence for the victims.

On the ground, a memorial had swelled that included flowers, candles, and the photographs of the two men killed. Family members and friends cried over the memorial.

Lawmakers and members of the party attended the memorial, as well as people who said they were not members but were shocked by the killing and angry at the government that things had reached this point.
